Where's Gregg?

Music is the spice of my life. It's something I'll always keep in my heart...let me share some with you

KMFDM:

Blitz.

This is a standby of industrial, but it carries a funky, almost silly, theme to it. It's more fun than NIN or some other jams which walk around with long, black, greasy hair, wearing black, greasy, leather, pants.

Cage the Elephant:

Cage the Elephant.

Nice mix of punk attitude, southern/stoner rock swagger, pop sensibilities, and introspective lyrics. Idolator.com marks these guys at the begining of 90's throwback rock. Not sure I agree with that, but if that's what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed.

Dan Auerbach:

Keep it Hid.

This is a sweet, bluesy joint. I was never too much a fan of The Black Keys, as The White Stripes were much more acccessable to me. After hearing this on NPR a million times, however, I was hooked

Black Milk:

`Tronic.

Simply amazing Detroit hip-hop. BM has a solid flow, delicious beats and some serious soul.

Bob Seger:

Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.

Anybody who knows me, or has for the last few years, is well aware of my hero worship of Mr. Seger. This album is about the closest thing to pure rock n' roll for me. I don't care what anybody has to say about his "newer" stuff, this album alone makes him a rock god, the few singles before and few albums afterwards make him a god amongst gods. If Bob Seger were to ask me to begin smoking cigarettes again...I would.
